Assessing
Property, machinery, equipment and inventory taxes are assessed by the Iberville Parish Tax Assessor. City property taxes are calculated based on the assessed property value as calculated by the Parish Assessor's office.
Property Taxes
Property taxes are assessed for the current year and mailed out in November. All property taxes are due on the last day of the year.

- Sales Tax - 4% Parish, 5% State
- No parish individual income tax
- City of Plaquemine occupational tax information can be obtained from City Clerk's office
- No parish corporation income tax, state rate variable from 4-8% depending on net income
- No parish franchise tax, state rate variable depending on capital employed
