City Inspector

The City Inspector Department issues building permits, handles inspections of construction, renovation or addition projects, and issues contractor licenses. It also handles the legal process of disposing of abandoned buildings, houses and vehicles and issues grass cutting notices.

The department is led by City Inspector Brandon Mellieon, who is assisted by Permit Technician Lenora Crawford.

Application for a Contractor’s License:
Any contractor doing work in the City of Plaquemine is required to obtain a Contractor’s License. You may download the form, but it must be signed and brought to the City Inspector's Department.
