The Iberville Museum

The Iberville Museum is located in the first Iberville Parish Courthouse. It houses artifacts of life in the parish from the early 1900s and features a Mardi Gras Room, complete with costumes of kings and queens of past carnival balls.

It also has an extensive display from World War II and the Korean War. The Greek Revival building was completed in 1848. It was used as the city hall for the City of Plaquemine from 1906 until 1985, and was later restored for its present use.

The Iberville Museum is part of the Plaquemine Main Street Program, and is located in the Plaquemine Historic District.

The Iberville Museum Board is comprised of representatives from the six municipalities of Iberville Parish.
