City Clerk / Tax Collector
The City Clerk's office is responsible for maintaining official documents and providing support to the Board of Selectmen. The office maintains official permanent City records and city government meeting minutes, ordinances, resolutions and city contracts. This office prepares legal notices and Request for Public Information is made through this office. It also handles occupational, alcohol and video poker licenses and other business licenses. The office maintains election result information and city property and sales tax collection data. Documents such as property transfers and sales, easements, encroachments, surveys and maps are maintained with the Iberville Parish Clerk of Court's Office. Property taxes are paid at the Iberville Parish Tax Collector's Office in Plaquemine. Municipal election aspects such as candidate applications and voting procedures are handled through the Iberville Parish Clerk of Court's Office and Iberville Parish Registrar of Voters in Plaquemine.
