The City Finance Department handles all financial and reporting aspects of city government and the city's operations. This includes budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, and following accepted governmental reporting guidelines. It also assists with Human Resource matters. The department also handles human resource management.
The City of Plaquemine's insurance is managed under Risk Management. Its mission is to protect the assets of the City of Plaquemine from unnecessary and controllable losses by providing a safe workplace for our employees and eliminating hazards to the public on city property. The primary goal of Risk Management is to reduce losses and to control the cost of those which do occur. When identified, exposures are addressed through loss control techniques, training and education, and transfer of risk.
