The Utilities Department (electric, natural gas, water and wastewater services) is under the direction of Utilities Director Ronnie Rockforte. The Utilities Department handles the infrastructure, maintenance and operation of all city utilities. City of Plaquemine owns, operates, and maintains all four utility services.
Street lights are owned and maintained by the City of Plaquemine. To report a non-working street light, call 225-687-2033 or 225-687-2461 during business hours. As most street light poles are now numbered, please provide the light pole number and street name and a description of the problem (for example: light not on at night or light pole is leaning or damaged).
