Combined Forces

Iberville Parish business and industry has combined forces with the Iberville Parish School System and the Iberville Parish Library System to provide work training and experiences for high school students.

Additionally, a variety of training programs is offered for adults, thus providing a strong, trained workforce.  The Iberville Parish Library also offers year-round sessions for lifelong learners to improve their career choices and improve their technology communication skills.

Westside Campus

The Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) Westside campus, located in Plaquemine, offers several technical job training programs, along with some courses that transfer to universities, like Louisiana State University and Southern University, both in Baton Rouge.

Programs

The BRCC Westside campus offers training in the following areas under its industrial maintenance program:

• Electrical
• Instrumentation
• Pipe fitting and welding

In addition, it also offers programs for:

• Childcare
• Computer literacy and applications
• Nursing / medical assistant
• Some business courses
